submission guidelines
poetry: okay, you poets out there, I'm here ready and waiting for your submissions. If you have taken the time, and I trust you have, to read any of the works in our Library, then you'll know quality writing is what I'll expect to receive from you. It is our aim here to promote superior word-art in all its incarnations and so won't exclude a piece for being experimental, contro-versial, metrical, formal, rhyming, religious, mystical, oriental, 'old-fashioned' or plain hard work to understand, so long as these styles have been utilised for purpose and to great effect. However, if they fail to move or inspire me because of poor spelling, dreadful grammar (unless a specific voice calls for exactly such use of language), and overall performance, they will be rejected: I know good material when I read it, and believe a visit to our library will illustrate this fact. Poets featured there vary from the multi-published to the newer poets on-scene, but the quality remains sound whichever way you read them. So, gird your loins, grab your poems, and send them to me, circumsolar.
Send me three to five examples of your work in the body of your e-mail (virus hassles make for prudence) but if you need to send them as an attachment they will be scanned before opening. Sometimes the software for this is a little over-zealous, so if any problems occur, I'll mail you back and suggest you send it another way.
Other submissions
artwork/photography and Music: Matrix
Art work is accepted in gif, jpeg, tiff, bmp, mpeg, avi ... but no psd files please.
Attachments should not be larger than 10mb.
Music: e-mail me about music submissions please, as our inbox tends to get rather full due to the larger file sizes associated with this type of submission and makes me bash my head against a wall.
I will attempt answer all enquiries within 24-48 hours.
